Children and parents can become supporters of recycling

Vero Căliman

In a world where the environment desperately needs everyone's attention and care, Ecotron, joins artist Vero Căliman and the Qfeel Theatre School, in launching a spectacular educational project that uses theatre and play to teach children how important the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is and how they can do it together with their parents and the adults around them. Children and parents will find out, in a very funny way, how they can truly protect the planet by recycling waste electrical and household appliances. They will be guided in this journey by Recycling Agent ECOTRON and the best specialists in the field.

Celebrating 5 years since its incorporationa, Ecotron SA, a company specializing in the management of the ecosystem of collection and recycling of electrical and electronic waste, aims, through the new project of education through theatre and play, to transform a serious message into a captivating, educational, and emotional experience, addressing children and parents from all over the country. The play, which showcases Recycling Agent ECOTRON as the main character, will premiere in March in Bucharest and will then go on a national tour through theatres, but also through schools and kindergartens to show children and parents how every responsible gesture can contribute to protecting nature and building a cleaner future.

“We are grateful to grow and recycle significantly more and more, from one year to the next, but what truly touches our hearts are the impactful environmental education projects, especially those dedicated to children. Recycling is a consequence of education and information. Therefore we are very excited to launch this education through theatre project, carried out together with Vero Căliman and the Qfeel Theatre School. I thank all those involved and the partners who support this valuable education project with their financial contributions,” declares Cristian Gavril, CEO of Ecotron SA.

Education through play and theatrical art

Actress Vero Căliman, Ecotron's ambassador, famous for the way she uses theatre to inspire and educate, is the one who wrote the new play and coordinates the show. Under her wand, stories come to life, and serious messages become easy to understand and put into practice. “The Ecotron project is an invitation to courage – the courage to make changes for a better future, the courage to learn differently, and the courage to protect our planet. We want this show to inspire children to become little defenders of recycling and to discover how much every gesture made with responsibility and love for nature matters,” says Vero Căliman.

The show aims to create a learning space through play, where children will discover how they can contribute to protecting the planet, and parents will be inspired alongside them. It is a project that brings together creativity, knowledge, and innovation. “Through theatre, the serious message of protecting the environment reaches children more easily, but also the adults who are with them. We are delighted with the opportunity to be part of this beautiful education project, initiated by Ecotron. The partnership between Ecotron, QFeel, and Vero Căliman is the perfect combination for the public of all ages, children and parents, to be able to receive useful information about the importance of recycling in a creative and fun way," declares Doina Ionescu Posea, founder of the Qfeel Theatre School.

The Qfeel Theatre School offers courses in theatrical art, improvisation, and public speaking for all age categories, from children and teenagers to adults. In an environment of authentic personal exploration, the approaches of the Qfeel Theatre School help with personal development, training creativity, and free expression.

A cleaner future, built together

Over the 5 years since its establishment, Ecotron has gradually become an outstanding actor, not only through its recycling activity but also through educational initiatives that aim to inspire young generations to become more responsible towards the environment. With the support of partners, the new educational project through theatre will bring to the forefront valuable lessons about responsibility, care for nature, and waste reduction.

2024 crowned a tradition at Ecotron: tripling the results compared to the previous year. This constant growth, maintained year after year, underlines not only the efficiency in managing WEEE but also a firm commitment to environmental education. “Ecotron doesn't just manage waste – it builds partnerships for a greener and more sustainable future,” declares Cristian Gavril.
