In December, Ecotron, together with ECOarena and local partners, launched a series of local collection campaigns for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in the communes of Tansa, Dolhești and Mogoșești. The objective: to bring recycling closer to communities and provide a simple, effective solution for the responsible management of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment.
In each locality, collection points were set up at the town halls and were open daily, Monday through Friday, to receive used equipment of all sizes — from phones, cables and monitors to refrigerators and washing machines. The campaigns were supported by informative materials and direct involvement from local authorities.
For Ecotron, these initiatives go beyond recycling. They are about practical environmental education and fostering sustainable habits across the country — including in rural areas.
We thank everyone who got involved and chose to recycle responsibly. This is only the first stage of a broader campaign that will continue in 2026, together with new partner communities.
